ABOUT ME
I design at the point where complexity becomes an interaction problem.
I’m Poyang Huang, a product designer and researcher based in the Netherlands. My work focuses on complex digital systems—data-intensive platforms, Human–AI experiences, and services where users need to understand information, make decisions, or act with confidence.
I’m particularly interested in the space between product design and implementation: shaping information architecture and interaction models, validating them through research, and increasingly carrying concepts beyond Figma into functional prototypes.

What I Bring
Complex systems
Structuring dense information, workflows, and interconnected services into clearer product models.
Human–AI interaction
Designing AI experiences around transparency, user agency, uncertainty, and meaningful human control.
From concept to working prototype
Moving from research and information architecture through interaction design, validation, and functional front-end exploration.
How I work
01
Make the system understandable first
Before polishing interfaces, I clarify the information model, user intent, and relationships between parts of the product.
02
Use research to make decisions
I use qualitative research, usability evaluation, and stakeholder feedback to reduce ambiguity rather than treat research as a separate deliverable.
03
Prototype to learn, not only to present
I use prototypes—from Figma to functional front-end experiments—to test interaction logic, communicate decisions, and expose implementation constraints earlier.
Selected Background

Product design for complex European platforms
Designing data-intensive and cybersecurity knowledge experiences across multi-stakeholder environments.

Human–AI troubleshooting
Developed and validated an AI-supported repair workflow, later showcased at Dutch Design Week.

Industrial Design
MSc research spanning Human–AI interaction, healthcare, physical–digital systems, and applied design research.
Research & publication
Work presented through IASDR, AAAI Symposium Series, and KEER.
What I’m looking for
I’m interested in product teams working on complex B2B systems, data-intensive platforms, AI-enabled tools, and services where interaction design needs to make technical complexity genuinely usable.
I’m especially drawn to environments where design works closely with engineering, research, and domain experts, and where prototyping is used as part of product thinking rather than only presentation.
